Association for Design Management
Plan A is really proud to have contributed to the successful launch of the Association of Design Management this month, working with so many respected individuals from all interpretations of Design Management across the industry. Plan A has always advocated a dedicated and expert approach to Design Management on behalf of our architect clients in the UK and overseas. We look forward to the day when every member of the Project Team sees the tangible benefits in pulling together under a clearly defined and mutually agreed process that meets the project's objectives from commencement to completion.
In collaboration with the ADM, we have started down the road to encourage recognition, consistency and quality in an area of the Design and Construction Industry that is becoming increasingly important in the successful delivery of large and complex projects. The ADM’s mission is to:
Build the Design Management community – whatever your role, organization or title, if you manage design, this is your home.
Raise Standards – we are working with BSi and other groups in the design and construction industries to establish a code of practice and a UK wide accreditation scheme for design management.
Create Alignment – establishing an industry wide definition of key activities that characterise ‘management of design’ at each project stage.
Establish Thought Leadership – support the design management community by organising live in-person and on-line events where members can showcase best practice, share ideas, debate, network and contribute to the advancement of design management across all project levels within the industry.
