London Healthy Workplace Charter Award.

We are proud to announce that we have been awarded Commitment Level for the London Healthy Workplace Charter which was provided by the Mayor of London – London Assembly.

What it is the London Healthy Workplace Charter?

The London Healthy Workplace Charter provides a framework for action to help employers like ourselves to build good practice in health and work within organisations. The charter supports all types of employers, large and small, from the public, private and voluntary sectors. The framework reflects best practice and is endorsed nationally by Public Health England.

The facts

  • 27.3 million days lost due to sickness absence or injury in the UK.

  • £14.3 million estimated cost of injuries and ill health from working conditions in the UK.

The benefits and aim

By being awarded the Healthy Workplace Charter we hope to join the other 280,000 people that are currently benefiting from a healthier happier place of work. We as a business are now recognised for having a healthy, fit and committed workforce. We have a clear strategy and action plan in place across all aspects of well-being in the workplace that all employees are aware of and dedicated to achieving. In turn we hope this will help to lower our absence rates, improve productivity, help to engage staff to being committed to being fitter employees. This will improve the overall well-being of our employees and the business.


Although we are thrilled to have been awarded the commitment level, our long-term aim is to improve our employee’s well-being and health in the workplace further through successfully achieving our action plan goals. Once we have achieved our annual goals we aim to progress up the London Healthy Workplace Charter ladder to Achievement level of the award.
